Our next book will be “The Difference Engine” by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling. This science fiction classic set the conventions for the steampunk subgenre. Copies of the book are available at the Reference Desk. Pick up a copy, read it, and join us on 6/28 @ 7:30 pm!
Titles on Tap is a social book group for readers in their 20s and 30s and for the young at heart. We go in for stories that are shaken, not stirred, and we don’t mind taking our love of lit outside the library walls. Titles on Tap meets once a month in the left-hand bar of Napper Tandy’s to eat, drink, be merry, and discuss the latest reading selection. Visit our website and follow us @titlesontap to learn more.

Get your reading skills in gear with the 2016 Summer Reading Program. Every year, public libraries across Massachusetts host this fun, laid back summer-long program to help kids keep up their literacy skills while school’s out. Join online, keep a reading log of all the titles you finish, and engage in a challenge to win cool prizes! Kids can access their summer reading accounts from any computer (even on vacation!) and all reading logs can be printed out at the end of the summer.
Registration begins on June 20th. Children may start logging their books on June 27th. Kindergarten and up. For questions regarding registration or how the program works, call the Children’s Room at 781-769-0200 x225 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
