Appalachian Trail hiker, author, talks about women’s 20-year trek

Tuesday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m.                                                                                    Charme Burns will tell the story of how a group of five friends calling themselves the Mountain Marching Mamas hiked the A.T. , section by section, over the course of two decades beginning in the late seventies.  The author of It’s Always Up: Memories of the Appalachian Trail, Charme Burns will tell the Mamas’ story, recounting their history on the trail and showing photos from their adventure.  Copies of her book will be available for purchase at the program.  Sign up at the library Reference or Information Desk or call 781-769-0200, x110 or 222.
