There are three events celebrating the 75 years that Superman has been flying the skies in DC comics, in movie serials, on television, and in full-length films.

On September 12th at 6:30 pm in the Simoni Room we showed nine episodes of the 1948 serial classic, “Superman.” This 15-part black-and-white Columbia film serial was based on the Superman comic book character and starred Kirk Alyn as Superman and Noel Neill as Lois Lane.

On September 26th at 6:30 pm in the Simoni Room, we held a screening of the 1978 “Superman” film with Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent. This was the first of four films made over the next decade starring Reeve.
