Join the Friends for a wonderful evening featuring “Seven Chances”, a 1925 silent film featuring Buster Keaton. Richard Hughes is a classically trained pianist who began playing at the age of seven. For the past ten years, he has studied the silent film industry and compiled a collection of movie scores taken from authentic mood music played during the 1920s. He currently travels throughout New England sharing his knowledge of the film genre while performing hundreds of movie shows a year at a variety of venues. In this program, Mr. Hughes will provide a glimpse into cinematic history as he discusses the silent film industry and accompanies the 1925 film.
A short Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Library will precede the movie.
