Reduce your carbon footprint and fatten your wallet! Leo Pollock, program director for Southside Community Land Trust, and a practitioner of Urban Homesteading will be at the library to guide you through starting your own garden, canning your own food, composting waste and other simple steps that you can take in your home and yard to live green and reduce your grocery bill. Leo can also teach you how to test your soil for lead, make the most of your outdoor space, and collect rainwater for reuse. He’ll be bringing two of his urban chickens!
