The Great Penguin Rescue

The Friends of the Library present Dyan deNapoli (AKA The Penguin Lady) on Thursday, October 13 at 7:30 pm.  Dyan worked closely with penguins at Boston’s prestigious New England Aquarium and in the wild for nine years and she is the author of The Great Penguin Rescue, an award-winning book about the rescue of 40,000 penguins off the South African coast.

She will present an interactive introduction to her work with penguins and her book about this amazing rescue adventure. This event is suitable for older young adults and adults. Please call the library to register for this program.

Dyan is a featured TED (Technology/Entertainment/Design) speaker.  Watch her TedX Boston presentation here.

Ms. deNapoli’s book was chosen as a Massachusetts Center for the Book – Must Reads Non-Fiction Book. Read more about that award or print a Must Reads Poster.
