Fall Musical Sundays Concert Series: Swing Fever Trio

swing feverOur Fall Musical Sundays concert series continues with a return visit from the Swing Fever Trio featuring Norwood’s keyboardist/vocalist Steve Rudolph. Get your toes tapping as the trio applies its distinctive jazz stylings to the music of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and many more. It’s a joyous sampling of the best of American popular music over the past 100 years. Steve is accompanied by Ralph Pepe on bass and Gary Spellissey on drums.

Fall Musical Sunday Concert Series: Hungrytown

hungrytownThe Musical Sundays series continues with a concert by Hungrytown, the folk music duo of Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson. This talented singer/songwriter pair has released two highly acclaimed CDs and has performed throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and New Zealand. Rebecca is known for composing classic, instantly memorable songs, weaving modern themes into traditional song structures. Her husband Ken plays a variety of instruments including drums, keyboard, bass, guitar, mandolin, banjo, and harmonica and is responsible for Hungrytown’s luxuriant vocal stylings.

Fall Musical Sundays Concert Series: Spook Handy

spookhandyOur fall Musical Sundays concert series concludes with a performance by New Jersey-based singer/songwriter, Spook Handy, called “America’s Story through Folk Songs.” Honoring the great traditions of American roots music, songs inspired by the Dust Bowl, Great Depression, Civil Rights Movements and the 60s and 70s peace movement are interwoven with new songs about the world we live in today. The passion, purpose, and spirit of American folk music are alive and well in this fun and uplifting concert.

Fall Musical Sundays Concert Series: Solstice Sackbuts

Sunday October 26th at 3:00 pm

Solstic-head21Our Fall Musical Sundays concert series will kick off with the Solstice Sackbuts trombone chamber trio, who will perform medieval and Renaissance music as well as pop favorites and traditional music from around the world. The group consists of David Lindsey, Alan Johnson, and Leslie Havens and will be performing on soprano, alto, tenor, and bass trombones.
