Put your writer’s caps on! This March, the Morrill Memorial Library will be sponsoring an essay contest. The topic is “Why I Love My Library.” The contest has two categories. The first is open to any student who is a resident of Norwood. The other category is open to adults, age 18 and over, who are residents of the town. Anyone interested in entering the contest may stop by the library for the details and the entry form, or find them here: Adult Entry Form or Student Entry Form. Each submission MUST include the entry form, and be 1,000 words or less. To qualify, the essays need to be submitted between March 1st-March 31st by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or to the library’s Outreach Department. Three prizes will be awarded in each category, student and adult. The first, second and third prizes are $50, $30 and $20 dollar gift cards to Barnes & Noble, in that order. Winners will be announced on Monday, April 30, 2012. The library wishes to express its appreciation to the Andrew and Ernest J. Boch Memorial Fund for its generation donation to this contest, and we encourage our library users to give it a try.
