Finding Public Domain E-Books

Recently, the Massachusetts Library System created a handout explaining the various places you can find e-books in the public domain – eBooks old enough to no longer be subject to copyright restrictions, and therefore free and available for use! Check out a summary of all the great places (besides, of course, Overdrive) where you can read and/or download books online after the break.

Try Out a Nook in the Library

Patrons looking to try out the Nook can borrow one for in-library use for up to two hours. Come to the Reference desk and talk to a librarian if you’d like to check out a Nook for in-library reading. And remember, there are a few Nooks available for Norwood patrons to check out for up to three weeks at a time as well. To take a look at what is on our Nooks or to request it you can take a look at it in our online catalog.
