Fireside Reads at the Library – January 12, 2012

Thursday, January 12th at 10 am and 7:30 pm

Mark your calendars to join us for our eleventh year of Fireside Reads with Beth Goldman and Margot Sullivan in an entertaining book review session in the Simoni Room. Beth and Margot will each review ten to twelve books from a variety of genres – fiction, non-fiction, whatever strikes them as interesting to readers. Refreshments will be served. Karate/Self-Defense Demonstration and Seminar

Thursday January 5, 2012 – 7 p.m.

Have you ever had that uncomfortable feeling of being physically vulnerable? Would you like the peace of mind of knowing that, faced with a potentially dangerous situation, you could respond with confidence? If so, come to a free lecture and demonstration to learn how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

This session will be led by four-time world champion and 6th degree Master Instructor Christopher Rappold, founder and CEO of Personal Best Karate of Norwood, Medfield, Norton, South Easton and Foxboro.

The Bridges of Madison County

Join the Morrill Memorial Library for another free film series! This Fall, we will be featuring movies starring Meryl Streep. Our first movie in the series, The Bridges of Madison County, is based on what of the best-selling books of the 20th century.
