Ebooks, Audiobooks and Video

The Library subscribes to Streaming Video, Ebook (digital book), Audiobook, and Magazine options with access to concerts, independent films, educational resources, and more. Most are accessible through the Libby App. Grab your library card, click on a resource's image, set up an account, and enjoy!
What you need:

Library card number and PIN (usually the last four digits of your library card number)

These Libby Extras, below, are available to Norwood residents through the Libby app, with unlimited access for a week. You must be signed in to the Libby app in order to see the Libby Extras.

Craftsy provides video tutorials for a large selection of Arts & Crafts topics including Quilting, Knitting, Sewing, Cooking, Baking, and various forms of Papercrafts. Craftsy is also available through the Libby app.

Hoopla provides library cardholders free access to stream or temporarily download a vast selection of video and audio entertainment, e-books, and others. There are no wait-lists, reserves, or late fees for these items.

We strongly recommend downloading the hoopla digital app from the iTunes app store or Android market so you can download content to your smartphone or tablet and take it with you.
You can stream content directly to your home computer.

Kanopy is an online streaming service, like Netflix or Hulu, that provides access to movies, independent and foreign language films, and award-winning documentaries.
The Kanopy app is free from the Apple App Store or Google Play store. Or, access Kanopy directly from your computer. You get 10 plays per month (each for 72 hours) and the number of plays resets on the 1st of every month.

Getting Started with Kanopy

Create a Kanopy Account: Tap the icon located in the top left corner to open the side menu. At the very bottom, tap on "Log In." At the bottom of the screen, tap on "I don't have an account." Use your email, Facebook, or Google account to sign up.
Add your Library:Tap the link to add your library. In the search box start entering the name of your academic or public library and tap on its name in the list.
Link your account with your library card membership: After adding your library, authenticate yourself as a member of that library. You will be prompted to enter your library card number and password or PIN.

The Kanopy Player:

Once you have successfully created your account you will be able to play videos from the Kanopy catalog. In the player, tap the screen to bring up the player's user interface. At the bottom of the screen you will see the Play/pause button, the quick rewind button, the progress bar and the remaining play time clock. To fast forward, tap and drag the progress indicator on the progress bar.
