Norwood CFCE offers free programs for families with children from birth to six years, including playgroups, story times, and parent workshops. Funded by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and in partnership with the Morrill Memorial Library, these services support you in your role as your child's first teacher.
Named in honor of Carole Poirier, a beloved educator dedicated to Norwood’s children and families, the Poirier Village Center hosts CFCE programs like playgroups and outdoor story times. Lovingly nicknamed ‘the little red school house’, the Poirier Village Center is beautifully maintained by the Norwood Housing Authority and is central to many of the CFCE activities.
CFCE Librarian Liz Hogrell:
With over 15 years of experience in Early Education, Ms. Liz is most recognized around town by Norwood’s youngest residents. In addition to facilitating parent and caregiver playgroups, she is committed to bringing high quality early childhood experiences to local families. When she’s not at the Poirier Village Center, Liz fully embraces her role as a mini-van mom with an eclectic Spotify playlist and a well curated Kindle library.
